Ultra-feminine, and yet surprisingly bold, Ragged Rose is a British brand created in the UK in 2011. An exciting range of fabrics, furnishings and gifts developed by creative entrepreneur Dawn Rose who was previously Head of Buying at the iconic department store Selfridges and also House of Fraser. Dawn has developed ranges and brands for many other top retailers in fashion and home accessories and has fused these passions into fresh, fun products with an ageless appeal.
Dawn felt uninspired by the High Street selection available to shoppers who want both fashion and tradition in their homes. Seeking a solution, Dawn created the Ragged Rose prints which are entirely original and cannot be found anywhere else.
The signature style of Ragged Rose is flamboyantly floral in a bold palette. Sometimes described as 'chintz on acid' ,a little more sexier , this style nods to the floral prints traditionally found in the country, brought up to date with vibrant colours and fabulous materials.
As a designer, Dawn is aware you can update an entire room without the expense of redecoration by introducing smaller matching accessories in punchy, fashion-led prints which enhance the room without dominating it. In a neutrally decorated bedroom, simply adding a Ragged Rose bedspread can turn the room into a stunning boudoir!
Widespread enthusiasm for Ragged Rose printed fabrics has expanded the range considerably and now an extensive selection of gifts for the home and garden is available. Teenagers love the range of gifts and accessories in pink and black velvet, and the statement prints featuring roses and anemone are perfect for all ages craving an alternative to pastels.
Kitchen accessories from oven gloves to table cloths are perfect for creating a vintage, cottage-like kitchen interior that is simultaneously modern and stylish. The aprons are especially popular, echoing the style of the 1950s, but in a surprising range of pinks, acid greens and oranges.
Unsurprisingly the garden is a huge influence in the Ragged Rose design process and budding botanists love the outdoor range from gardening aprons and sun hats to patio cushions and picnic rugs.
Ragged Rose has launched a new range of products for spring 2015, featuring a new sunshine yellow range along with her usual pink, and purple and lime (never failing to brighten your home). Dawn is also introducing a new line in more muted tones of duck egg and cream for this season, ideal for creating a calm, relaxing space in bedrooms and living rooms. www.raggedrose.com.
